Europe’s troubling experience with Sharia Law offers clear warnings. Discover why America must remain Sharia-free to protect its citizens. We support religious freedom but oppose Sharia as a political system in America.
Introduction
America has long stood as a beacon of liberty, where individuals are free to practice their faith privately while living under a single, secular Constitution that protects the rights of all. Religious freedom is a cornerstone of our nation—but religious freedom does not mean importing political and legal systems that are fundamentally incompatible with it.
Sharia is not merely a set of personal religious guidelines. In its traditional, comprehensive form, it functions as a complete political, legal, and social system governing everything from family law and inheritance to criminal justice and governance. Europe’s decades-long experiment with large-scale immigration from Sharia-influenced regions provides sobering lessons. Parallel societies, Sharia councils, and no-go zones have emerged in several European countries, challenging the rule of law, women’s rights, and social cohesion.
The United States must learn from these mistakes and commit to remaining Sharia-free as a matter of national policy.
Europe’s Warning Signs: Parallel Societies and Sharia Influence
Over the past few decades, many European nations have witnessed the growth of areas where state authority is weakened, and informal Sharia norms take precedence. Reports from countries like Sweden, France, the UK, and Germany highlight:
No-Go Zones and Parallel Societies: In Sweden, studies have identified dozens of vulnerable areas where criminal networks, clan structures, and foreign norms increasingly replace Swedish law. Similar patterns appear in French banlieues and parts of German cities, where integration has faltered and parallel societies have formed.
Sharia Councils: The UK is often called the “Sharia capital” of the West, with estimates of up to 85 Sharia councils operating. These handle family matters like divorce and inheritance, often disadvantaging women who may face pressure to comply rather than use British courts.
Legal and Cultural Challenges: Incidents of Sharia-based arbitration gaining informal traction, demands for Sharia-compliant practices in public spaces, and higher rates of certain social issues in some communities have strained European systems. The European Court of Human Rights has previously noted Sharia’s incompatibility with core democratic principles in certain applications.
These issues stem not from individual piety but from treating Sharia as a competing legal and political framework. Multicultural policies that prioritized accommodation over integration have contributed to segregation rather than assimilation.
Why Sharia as a Political System Conflicts with American Values
We fully support the right of Americans to practice their personal faith peacefully—including Islam. Millions of Muslim Americans live successfully as integrated citizens under the Constitution.
However, Sharia as a political and legal system poses distinct challenges:
Supremacy Over Secular Law: Traditional Sharia claims authority above man-made laws, conflicting directly with the U.S. Constitution’s supremacy.
Inequality: Elements often include unequal treatment in inheritance, testimony, divorce, and apostasy rules that clash with American principles of equality under the law.
Criminal Punishments: Hudud penalties (corporal punishments) are incompatible with the Eighth Amendment and modern human rights standards.
Threat to Integration: Allowing parallel legal systems risks creating the same fragmented societies seen in parts of Europe, undermining the American “melting pot” tradition that has successfully integrated previous waves of immigrants.
America’s Muslim communities have generally shown better socioeconomic integration and lower rates of separatism compared to Europe, partly due to selective immigration, stronger economic opportunities, and a clearer expectation of assimilation.
Why the US Must Act Now
To preserve our freedoms, America should:
Reject Parallel Legal Systems: Ensure no religious arbitration undermines constitutional rights, especially in family law affecting women and children.
Prioritize Assimilation: Immigration policy should favor those who embrace American values, including equality, secular governance, and individual liberty.
Protect Free Speech and Criticism: Allow open discussion of these issues without fear of being labeled intolerant. Legitimate policy debate is not bigotry.
Support Religious Freedom, Not Political Ideology: Distinguish between private worship and efforts to establish Sharia-influenced governance.
Europe’s experience shows that ignoring these tensions leads to division, higher social costs, and eroded trust in institutions. America still has time to avoid repeating those errors.
Conclusion: A Sharia-Free America Protects Everyone
Supporting a Sharia-free America does not mean opposing Muslims—it means upholding the secular constitutional order that allows all faiths to flourish safely. Religious freedom thrives when no single religious law dominates the public square.
By learning from Europe’s challenges, the United States can continue to be a model of successful integration: one nation, under one Constitution, with liberty and justice for all.
We welcome peaceful religious practice. We oppose any political system that seeks to replace American law.
WAKE UP AMERICA!
Sharia Law is not compatible with Western Society or our United States Constitution.
Do not let what happened to Iran, Lebanon or even Dearborn Michigan spread throughout the United States.

Sharia Law is not compatible with Western Society and Non-Muslims. Send a message to the U.S. Congress that we don't want Sharia Law in the United States and to ban its practice.
